Adult Basic Skills (ABS)

The Saddleback College Adult Education department develops continuing education pathways for adults, including those with disabilities, who seek learning opportunities in basic skills, English as a Second Language (ESL), and Citizenship that may lead to a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and entry into the workforce. In addition, short-term career technical education programs are offered for all adults who wish to further enhance their employment potential.

Basic Skills classes may include programs for adults, including, but not limited to, older adults, that are primarily related to entry or reentry into the workforce, or that are primarily designed to develop knowledge and skills to assist elementary and secondary school children to succeed academically in school.
